Importance of Early Years Development

Early years learning focuses on the holistic development of children, encompassing their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and creative growth. It provides a solid foundation for future learning and lays the groundwork for lifelong learning and success.

Our sensory play activities involve the use of materials and stimuli that stimulate children's senses. This include items such as sand, water, playdough, rice, beans, textured materials, scented items, and more. The materials are carefully selected to provide different sensory experiences and opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Sensory play can be done individually or in small groups, fostering social interaction and cooperation. Your child will engage in collaborative play, share materials, take turns, and engage in joint problem-solving. This promotes empathy and understanding as your child observes and responds to others' experiences and emotions.

Your child will be exposed to a language-rich environment and engage in activities that promote language acquisition, such as storytelling, discussions, and interactive games.

The curriculum aims to foster emergent literacy skills which includes activities that promote phonemic awareness, letter recognition, and pre-reading and pre-writing skills. Your child will engage in age-appropriate activities such as recognising and matching letters, engaging in rhyming games, and exploring books and other print materials.

This programme focuses on building your child's ability to understand and communicate effectively in the Chinese Language. To cultivate their interest in learning, children will be exposed to fun and engaging activities such as reading, drama-acting, singing, writing, and more.

With Chinese Language being incorporated into your child's daily interactions and routine, he/she will gain the confidence to communicate naturally as their second language.

This programme promotes outdoor experiences and environmental education. These efforts aim to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for the natural environment, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship from a young age. Your child get to involve in planting, nurturing, and harvesting crops.

Through visits to outdoor areas such as gardens and parks, your child get to engage in nature walks, observe plants and animals, and participate in hands-on activities related to the environment.
